Trading Comics

I'm thinking of any idea. Someone tell me if this is already being done.

Establish a website based on a social network, just like tribe.net is. The users of the site are connected not by their online friends, but by the comic books they have and want to trade. Once a trading partner is found, the users conduct a trade.

The trades could be backed up by an online bond in case the trader fails to complete the trade.

Perhaps a method to allow for "degrees of separation". I want Hulk #102 and am willing to trade #182. The person who has #102 to trade actually is looking for Batman #151.

    I would join a website like this.

    However, I wouldn't pay.

    If you had a trader rating system in place, so you can identify scammers, and the like, the Bond wouldn't be needed. I'm traded hundreds of dollars of collectables online many times over, and never had to pay a dime. I'll give you my trading guidelines if that helps.

        I use the site HCRealms to trade Heroclix Figures. Theses are my trading guidelines for that site, which are in addition to the trading rules there:

        Here are the simple and basic requirements of trading with me. I think you will see they are mutually beneficial, insuring that we both end up happy. These Guidelines are in addition to the rules here on HCRealms, and apply when Trading with me; {(Screen name, name and address omitted)}

        1: Traders with LESS THAN THREE positive feedbacks SEND FIRST.
        I prefer Sending Simultaneously, but must ask that less experienced traders send first. I may opt not to trade with you if you have negative feedback; but if the negative feedback is outweighed by a good number of positive responses, we should be okay.

        2: We MUST both use DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
        I Send My packages VIA U.S. Postal Service. If sending Overseas (which I don't do often) I use UPS. USPS with Delivery Confirmation is the minimum package insurance acceptable. Any additional Precautions are optional. I understand that Canadian trades can be sticky. If sending to Canada, I'm open to following the proper proceedure to minimize costs for both of us. *

        3: AGREEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY
        The Sender is responsible for the delivery of the package they ship. This applies to both parties.

        If a package is lost in transit, for whatever reason; it is solely the responsibility of the sender to make ammends. There are three accpetable options: A-The sender must ship a replacement; containing the sames goods as the original package. (ie the same figures or collectables outlined in the original trade); B-The sender must ship a replacement; containing appropriate substitutes, agreed apon by both parties of equal value; or C-The Sender must make monetary compensation equal to the value of the missing package.

        *An additional note: US Postal Standards require that a package be at least 5" X 3" To use Delivery Confirmation. In order to meet my second requirement, you must ship in a box at least this size. NO ENVELOPES, padded or not please. Thanks again.
