"I really DC and Justice League"

I have nothing against super heroes but honestly I just hate Super man and Wonderwoman and all those other heroes except for Batman in the Justice League cartoon. First off Superman is cocky as hell, and everyone is scared of him including Joker from batman. The villains in this cartoon are also extremelly weak, thats why I like Marvel a hell allot better than DC. Marvel have better heroes and villains.

Its like if X-men villains were in Justice League they wouldn't be taking crap from Superman or wonder woman.Magneto would stomp both their faces into the ground. Thats why I always liked Marvel characters, for instance Cyclops is always acting like the leader of the X-men but Wolverine doesn't give a damn he's his own boss and would take Cyclops down any givin day. In Justice League all the characters do what Superman says, their like all straight cowards. The bad guys always surrender and the fights are too unrealistic. Isn't the bad guys suppose to win somtimes too????????? I know in X-men they always win in few episodes to make the fights seem more real.

Marvel will always conqueror DC comics. Plus Marvel is more mature and real. DC created two over powered characters that cant lose.

Ah, the age old debate, Marvel vs. DC. I read both, and they've both got their ups and downs.

Well, Marvel definately has better villains -- Dr. Doom, Magneto, Venom, The Green Goblin, Galactus, The Red Ghost and His Super Apes...

Batman's got some good villains, The Joker, Ra's Al Ghul, Two-Face, but a lot of them are just variations on the Joker theme...

One thing I think DC does better is supporting heroes and characters, which is why it was so dumb of them to kill Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and Sue Dibney for no good reason.

One thing I hate about Marvel is how frequently they kill characters and bring them back to life. DC does it too sometimes, but not nearly as often as Marvel. Just about every other issue someone's coming back from the dead.

I disagree about the DC villians; I think they are generally a much better lot.

And I don't think the deaths of those characters you mentioned were meaningless; they all served important story functions.

I also have a gripe about the way Marvel brings characters back to life, but it's not the same one. Marvel tends to do the "it wasn't really the character dieing, it was (a clone, a misunderstanding, an illusion, ect), while DC usually uses strategies like magic or time manipulation to bring characters back to life. The difference is that in Marvel, each time a character comes back through a coincidence it becomes less and less realistic (how many times can it just appear that one character dies?) while in DC each time it happens it makes more and more sense (of course characters can come back from the dead, there are spells that can do that!)

I've mentioned this before on other tribes, but not on this one...HERE GOES....
Marvel's improved at it lately, and it's been a nice UPGRADE..ESPECIALLY the Civil War thing...
but DC has always been more PROACTIVE as far as REVAMPS and MODERNIZING their bigger characters...
Until recently, with a few exceptions, Marvel's been content to rest on their laurels and REHASH every great story they've
ever released. Always thought DC's bad guys can be just as INTERESTING as Marvel's... Difference is, Marvel has WAY MORE of them.
        • Marvel vs. DC Cosmology

Also, I think Marvel has a much more interesting cosmology, which is based more on science (or pseudo-science as the case may be, but certainly more the IDEA of science), rather than magic or mysticism. Of course Marvel has it's gods, but they're treated more as extradimensional beings than actual gods, (I think they even say that in Earth X,) I don' t think there is a "God" or heaven or Hell in Marvel.

I prefer Marvel's system of cosmic characters -- The Watcher, Galactus, The Celestials, etc., I think it works better than the New Gods and Galactic Guardians, etc.

What do you think of the system alien races? The Kree and Skrulls vs. Thanagarians and Coluans?

(Wow, on a side note here, it fills my geeky heart with pride at the sheer richness of these mythologies. I was actually trying to explain this part to a girl the other day, and I realized just how much there is, wow!)

Of course there is God, Heaven, and Hell in Marvel, just think about Nightcrawler and his Catholicism. God doesn't have to wear spandex to be there!

Here is a list of all comicbook characters (Marvel, DC, and more) and their religeons... i thought i found the link on this tribe but i guess i was wrong. :D

Well, I meant as characters, in DC you have actual angels flying around and stuff, and again, in Marvel, characters like Mephisto are treated more as extradimensional creatures that people just THINK are gods, rather than actual divine entities or anything like that.
